The department of Community Medicine is committed towards improving quality of Teaching and Training in the practice of medicine holistically encompassing promotive, preventive , curative and rehabilitative aspects of disease. It is not limited within the four walls of class rooms, but, extended as a community based training through Urban Training Centre and Rural Training Centre. Students are posted here in batches for family visits and to participate in socio clinical case presentation. Faculty members and specialists from Obstetric & Gynaecology, Pediatric, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics and ENT departments are also involved in the community based teaching and training programme. The department is also coordinating other activities included in the National Programmes.
